All Stalkers are female because only females can survive the emissions.

Besides, the real litmus test for crossovers (and, indeed, fanfiction in general) is whether someone who's never seen the source material can still enjoy it. Look at Fallout writefag for an example of doing it right, then that RO story in /others/ for an example of doing it wrong, then go to it.

If you've actually played the game you'll find the ridiculous amounts of references I added in the story. Shame nobody had played the game was also reading my story. Fuck, even the ending was inspired by S.T.A.L.K.E.R. what with the whole 'hey let's just throw in a TOTALLY UNPREDICTABLE ending' and the resulting: '...What.' Like I said after i finished; I had no idea what people were going to make of it, it was still fucking wicked fun to do and see the reactions. Oh my~, i'm rambling on the internet. But as a direct crossover, eh, could work with the anomalies and such, i still don't think it'd be a very good idea. The whole fucking thing would be basically /k/ vs Gensokyo.

maybe some rare artefacts can grant very, very weak versions of touhou powers, idunno.
